Our church is sending care packages to our students away from home. They have been collecting pop corn, KD, hot chocolate, Chap Stick, noodles, and any other little thing that a student might need.
When I heard about this project I wanted to be involved! I was quite homesick when I was away at school so I loved the idea of sending them a care package, letting them know that we are thinking about them.
Here are some pictures of what I came up with to add to it...
All the males will receive the same card...lol!! |
A “Hot Chocolate Holder”
This little book holds two sleeves of hot chocolate.
|
In the back of this picture there are some Post it Note holders that have been embossed and monogrammed with the students initial |
The paper I used is from Recollections, K & Company- the Amy Butler Collection, Classic K Design paper and a pack from Costco.
The Cuttlebug Embossing folders that I used are: Victoria, Swiss Dots, Tiny Bubbles and Floral Fantasy.
The cuts for these projects are from the Create A Critter, Elegant Edges, Gypsy Wanderings and Sentimentals Cricut Cartdgrides. I also used a Spellbinder die- Fancy Tags for one of the cards.
The stamped sentiments are from My Pink Stamper, Scrappy Moms and the monograms are from Martha Stewart.
The hot chocolate holder was a great idea I got from watching a video by Sara at mypinkcricut. Here is a link to her viedo. She will give you the instructions on how to make this cute little book...How you decorate it are up to you!!
I have left the cards empty on the inside so that people at church can sign them and write little notes to the students :)
Thanks for stopping by,
Cheryl
Cheryl those are wonderful, and what a great idea. That is very nice for the church to do that for the kids. It is an awe full feeling to be home sick. Keep up the great work. I have to apologize you posted on my blog awhile ago and never received it until now. I really enjoyed this post thanks for the link to the hot chocolate packages and keep up the great work.
