Bake Sale

Our Jr. and Sr. Youth groups are hosting a bake sale tomorrow after the service to fundraise for our church’s annual Sharing Way campaign.  We have decided to bake chocolate chip cookies.  mmm ... yumm!!!
The Jr. Youth decided to do some baking at our meeting on Thursday night so we could package them and sell to those who might not want any cookies tomorrow morning, but might just want to take some home for later.   The Sr. Youth are going to bake theirs tomorrow morning during the service so when church is over we will all walk out to the wonderful smell, and to freshly baked warm chocolate chip cookies!!!
I had these white paper bags I mainly use for crafting, but I thought would be perfect for packaging up our cookies. I used my Cricut and Plantin Schoolbook cartridge to create the tag, and the Papertrey Ink Spiral Bouquet stamp set for the flower and the My Pink Stamper Yummy-licious stamp set for the sentiments.

I hope that all the baking goes well tomorrow morning, I know that the youth are excited about the bake sale!! It will be a great service too, my good friend is preaching :)

Hello Spring

The other night we went to the boy’s school for a play and some skate board practice. There is a nice big paved area where my oldest son can practice on his skate board, while my little two can play on the climbers.  It was a great night, although it turned out to be a bit chilly!!!
I brought along my camera and wound up taking a tone of pictures of all the pretty flowers that are beginning to bloom in the butterfly garden.  (Well when I say all the pretty flowers I really mean all the pretty daffodils...lol There will be more blooming soon :) )Here are a few of the pictures:

I know I normally share craft creations on this blog, but there is just something about the beginning of spring when everything is coming back to life that I just love!! So I thought I would take a quick moment to share it with you  :)

I hope that everyone is having a great day!!

Two Pretty Cards

This first card I created was for my sister's birthday. I have really been enjoying using all my stamps lately and I seem to look for any reason to pull them out! Pretty soon I'll have to slow down because I really do not have that many stamp sets and everyone will already have a stamped card...lol ;)

The flowers come from a Papertrey Ink stamp set Spiral Bouquet, and I used a Papertrey Ink label die to stamp my sentiment on.
I first stamped the lable with a text stmamp and the birthday greetings come from the Scrappy mom's Everyday greetings stamp set.

This seond card I made as a quick thank you card for a friend. She had passed along some old cook books that she was no longer going to use, so I just wanted to send a little thank you! I love looking thorugh cook books and getting new ideas for our meals and getting some insporation...:)

This fun sentiment is a Recollections stamp from their Fun Borders stamp set. I just used a water pen and some distress in to paint in the bumblebee.
The flowers are from Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge and I inked around the edges to give them some depth. To finish it off I put a little buttons in the centers of the flowers.

Thanks for stopping by!!
See you soon,

Lunch Box Fun!

I wanted to make some treat holders for my boys and some of my friend's daughters for their lunch. I don't normally pack sweet treats in my boy’s lunch so I thought that this would be fun! I have loved making them, and I know that they have loved receiving them :D
I decided that I would use supplies that I already have rather than buying stamps or dies for this project and it was a lot easier than I thought!!! If you would like to see how I created the holder itself here is a video I made and posted on my You Tube channel.
Here are some of treat holders that I made :

The Cricut cartridges I used were Create a Critter, Something to Celebrate, For Ever Young and Simply Charmed. To create the butterfly treat holder I used a Martha Stewart stamp set.
All the cute fun sentiments are from My Pink Stamper stamp sets :D

I hope that you're having a great day!

My Cricut Dust Cover

Hi everyone, I hope you had a very nice Easter!!! With the kids home yesterday we had a nice quiet day and we did not have to go anywhere :D

I woke up yesterday feeling like trying out a project I wanted to make for a while. I have seen some videos on You Tube for Cricut dust covers and I wound up wanting one...lol I craft in my basement and I found that it is becoming quite dusty down there.

I did not want to order on from EBay or Etsy because the shipping is I feel over the top, so I Goggled Cricut dust covers and I found THIS free pattern from Custom Crops!! Not only did they have a free pattern they have also provided video tutorials to help you out :)

I went to a local material shop and found all my material on the remnants table and got everything quite cheep :D I used a tweed material for the cover and cotton for all the accents. I used my Cricut to cut out my initials and they were cut using the Song Bird cartridge.

I am really happy with how it turned out and it is on my Cricut right now :D I have to iron it a bit more, I ran out of time yesterday, but I am very happy to have it!!!

Easter Fun

This year I wanted to make something fun for my husband. He has been under a lot of pressure at work and he is coming to the end of a 3 year collage course.  He has been super busy and I thought something bright and cheerful would be a nice.
He loves chocolate and his favourite is Lindtt Chocolate, so that is what he is getting :)  I thought to making him something for his Easter treats, rather than just leaving them on kitchen table with the boy's treats. Here is what I came up with:

This fun box is cut from the Wrap It Up Cricut cartridge at 11”. The cute little bunny is from the Create A Critter cartridge and the eggs are cut from Doodlecharm cartridge and decorated with some gel pens. The flowers are from a Martha Stewart punch with some glitter added to the center.
For the sentiment I used my computer to print out the “Happy Easter” and then just cut the ends into a banner.

I hope every one has a Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter

I am getting so excited for Easter this year! I guess it helps that my boys are bringing home decorations that they made and getting excited about it themselves ... lol :)
Over the past year I have really been enjoying the processes of making little take home grab bags for the people in my life. When family or friends pop in, I love to have a little something for them to take home. I have also been making them for my youth group, something fun to hand out as they are heading home.
Here is what I came up with for Easter:

This cute little bunny is cut from the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge, the stamp is from My Pink Stamper,  Happiest moments stamp set.
All of the paper is from Recollections and the white has been distressed around the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink Broken China

I hope everyone is having a great day :)
